I recently visited this restaurant for lunch and tried their lunch specials. While the food was delicious and affordable, I was a bit disappointed with the lack of professionalism from the staff. I would recommend opting for takeout instead of dining in to ensure a better experience.

We were promptly seated and served water, with lunch specials displayed on the wall and regular menu options available. The lunch specials, priced at an average of $10.98, included hot and sour soup, fried or steamed rice or noodles, a veggie fried roll, and the main dish of your choice. The portions were generous, leaving enough for a light dinner later. I ordered the General Chicken, which was crispy and coated with a tangy, sweet sauce that wasn't overpowering. The fried rice was lightly seasoned but easily fixed with soy sauce. The hot and sour soup was a standout, with a savory broth instead of the usual thickened version. My wife enjoyed her vegetable chicken, noting that it was well-seasoned and flavorful, although the noodles needed a bit more salt. Impressed by our lunch experience, we returned for dinner with our family to see if the quality and flavors held up - and they did. Lotus 8 has earned a spot back on our list of go-to Chinese food spots. I gave it 4 stars, but plan to reassess after a few more visits to ensure consistency in both taste and quality.
